Re-Scaling Footage

When watching my footage back with one of my tutors he noticed that some of my camera framing was a bit off, for example their was a lot of empty space in the shot which looked unnecessary. Since I have finished all of my production, I didn’t want to go back and reshoot it for the sake of an altered shot, instead Bronek showed me, how to adjust the framing in post production.

With the playback head over the shot I wanted to change, I clicked motion > scale, then zoomed in to the footage which made the empty space disappear, instantly this looked like a tidier and visually pleasing shot. In addition to this, I was pleased that despite zooming in, the quality of the image is not lost.
